New research shows that cruciferous vegetables reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality.

Okay, we know, we know. Broccoli is not everyone’s favorite vegetable. However, scientists have recently discovered that both men and women may reduce their risk of dying as well as the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease by consuming more cruciferous vegetables. They found that consuming cruciferous vegetables may reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality by as much as 22%.


One thing to take note of, however, is that an increase in fruit and vegetable consumption was not found to decrease the risk of dying from cancer. Although, some studies disputants.
